Bonjour and Good Day 😃

So, you’re in Kuala Lumpur, ready to explore...but the rain has other plans. Don’t worry, KL has a lot of indoor activities that will keep you entertained 😊

Theme Parks

If you're able to drive or get a bus for an hour or so, I'd recommend going to Genting Highlands. They have an indoor theme park which you can read more about here. They also have a new (semi outdoor) park "Genting Skyworlds Theme Park" which is nice too but has still some closed attractions. Oh and there's a casino in Genting Highlands, you might want to go there and bet 😄
Anyway, read my full article on Genting Highlands if you want more info.

If you want to stay inside KL, I'd recommend the theme park inside Berjaya Times Square mall. Careful though, the price is different for non-malaysians, it's about RM95 per person. There's at least 4 turning/rolling attractions thingy plus a rollercoaster ride. Then the rest is the usual: a horror house, some arcade games and a few kids attractions. They also have VR, in case you want to escape the rainy weather by going into another reality 😄
You can have a look at their official website.

Other than that I've heard about SuperPark Malaysia in Avenue K Shopping Mall. I haven't had the chance to try it yet and it looks like it's more of an indoor playground 😊
Here is their official website.

Karting

There are several indoor karting location in KL. One that I've tried and that I can recommend is GO Kart BTSKL located in Berjaya Times Square mall. It's in the basement of the mall and the price might be higher than other karting places, I paid RM40 per pax for 10mn of karting.

Aquarium

Very close to the Petronas Towers lies Aquaria KLCC, one of the best aquariums in Asia! Here, you can view and learn about marine life and don't forget to explore the underwater tunnel. 😊 Read my review on Aquaria KLCC.

Escape Game

For those who want a bit of a thrill, KL has nice escape rooms! Here are the most popular :

  • Breakout: they have a few outlets around KL's malls : Avenue K, Nu Sentral and The Curve. They have different rooms with different themes, the prices is around RM50 per person depending on the size of the group.
(read my review or access official website)
  • Hauntu: made by the same company as breakout actually ^^
This one is horror immersive, they have two outlets each one with a different style : Haunted Hotel in The Linc mall and Village-Style in The Curve mall.

Museums & Art Galleries

If you’re a fan of art or culture, KL has several great museums to explore.
Here's my list:

Indoor sports

For those who want to stay active, KL has plenty of indoor sports options.
Check out Jump Street Asia (Kuala Lumpur) if you want to bounce (official website).

If you want to do bowling, several malls have bowling alleys: Midvalley, Sunway Pyramid, One Utama... On my end I tried Ampang Superbowl located in Berjaya Times Square (official website).

Interested in badminton? A very popular activity in Malaysia 😊 I can recommend Younique Sports Pudu Plaza. They don't have a website but you should be able to Whatsapp them through Google Maps.

Ice skating? Located inside Sunway Pyramid mall, this is probably like a little winter escape. I've not tried it and I don't intend to but there it is. 😉

Malls

Last resort, if nothing else tempted you then maybe it's time to do some shopping? Read my article on KL's best malls, there are a LOT of malls 😄

Well, actually the last resort would be to just stay at home, maybe use grab to order food? 😄

Terimakasih for reading until here! Happy travels 😇
