Kuala Lumpur's Best Parks and Nature Spots

Kuala Lumpur's Best Parks and Nature Spots

Bonjour and Good Day ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Kuala Lumpur is a big city but it's not all about concrete and skyscrapers. There's quite a number of peaceful parks to get a nice break from urban life.
In this article we'll explore the ones I've visited and I'll list you some more ๐Ÿ˜Š

KLCC Park

I have to start this article with KLCC, yes it's in the heart of the city but it's something! You have a bit of greenery right next to the iconic Petronas Towers (and some more other towers ๐Ÿ˜„).

My girlfriend is very good with cameras ๐Ÿค—

There's also a swimming pool and a pond/lake (I'm not sure which one is the correct description ^^). Apparently there's a fountain show on the lake in the evening but I haven't had the chance to watch it yet.

And finally right next to KLCC park there's the Suria KLCC mall which I talk about in my article about malls.

Bukit Antarabangsa

The name might look scary but it's worth a visit ๐Ÿ˜„
This park is on the far east of KL, outside the city, for example it takes about 20mn drive from KLCC to that park.

This is a nice gem, quiet and peaceful, perfect to watch the sunset, I'd recommend coming there right before the evening. Although it becomes crowded with mosquitoes eventually so you might want to be prepared ๐Ÿ˜Š

Desa ParkCity

This one is on the far west of KL, about 25mn drive from KLCC. It has nice paths for jogging or cycling with a lake at the center. I think this park has more of a family/dating vibe. They also have a bunch of restaurants/bars with a view over the lake and park.

National Botanical Gardens, Shah Alam

This is my favorite one so far but it's quite far ๐Ÿ˜„ About 45mn from KLCC, in Shah Alam, outside of KL.
I enjoy greeneries and this one feels very great. You can rent a bike (they will keep your driving licence while you rent it) and go around on the roads surrounded by trees, water and sometimes monkeys ๐Ÿ˜„

There's a small lake close to the entrance and I've seen people of small boats (the ones with pedals) there so I guess there's a possibility of rental too!

For me itโ€™s worth the drive from KL for a day in nature, a picnic and some biking ๐Ÿ˜Š

Other Parks

As I said in the beginning, there are plenty of other parks. I wanted to write about the ones I've explored but hereโ€™s a list of a few that are on my radar. Iโ€™ll be sure to update this article once Iโ€™ve checked them out:

  • Perdana Botanical Gardens
  • Bukit Kiara Federal Park
  • Taman Dusun Bandar
  • Taman Pudu Ulu
